Who We Are
VetBuds East is the East Side connection point of VetBuds, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization built by veterans to support other veterans.
VetBuds began in 2011 when three veterans started meeting for breakfast and creating the kind of military networking experience they wanted to have: personal, welcoming, useful, and focused on genuine relationships.
What began around one table grew into a wider metro Atlanta network with regular gatherings in North Fulton, West Cobb, and Cherokee County. VetBuds East continues that growth by creating a local place for veterans and supporters across Atlanta’s eastern communities to meet, build relationships, and strengthen veteran support.
We believe help does not always begin with a complicated program. Sometimes it begins with a conversation, an introduction, a business connection, a shared resource, or someone who knows where to turn.
VetBuds East helps bring those people and possibilities to the same table.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build a dependable East Side network where veterans can connect with one another and where individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and community partners can work together in support of veterans and their families.
We create space for relationships to form, needs to be shared, resources to be identified, and useful support to move from conversation into action.
We are guided by the wider VetBuds mission: veterans supporting veterans through personal experience, professional knowledge, community connections, and direct assistance.

We bring together veterans from different branches and generations, military families, individual supporters, local business owners, nonprofit leaders, service providers, and community organizations across Atlanta’s East Side.
Our gatherings create opportunities for people to introduce themselves, share their military or professional experience, discuss current needs, offer useful resources, and form relationships that can lead to meaningful assistance.

The wider organization’s work includes the Freedom on Wheels Initiative, which provides donated and repaired vehicles to qualifying veterans, financial grants for student veterans, connections to long-term resources, and assistance when specific veteran needs arise.
