I just came across this post, and it instantly took me back to earlier this year.
I don't know why she resigned, but it reminded me of my own experience.
I got a job I was genuinely excited about.
A month later, I resigned.
From the outside, it's probably looked like I was being ungrateful or impatient. The truth is, not every opportunity is the right opportunity.
Sometimes, you accept a Job because you need one, only to realize the work environment, expectations, culture, or even role isn't what you were led to expect.
Leaving wasn't an easy decision, but staying in the wrong place would have cost me more.
We celebrate getting the offer, but we don't talk about having the courage to walk away when it isn't the right fit.
