American Legion Post 233
Service Does Not End When the Uniform Comes Off.
American Legion Post 233 is where veterans, military families, and members of the Loganville community come together to remember those who served, support those who returned, and continue serving the country and community they call home.
Who We Are
American Legion Post 233 is the Barrett-Davis-Watson Post of Loganville, Georgia, a local post of The American Legion, the nation’s largest wartime veterans’ service organization.
We are a community of veterans, military families, volunteers, and local supporters connected by a shared respect for service and a commitment to helping others.
Our Post carries the names of Barrett, Davis, and Watson, three Loganville servicemen who did not return home. Chosen in 1948, the name reminds us that our responsibility is not only to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, but also to stand with the veterans, families, and communities they left behind.
Post 233 is more than a place where members meet. It is a place where veterans find fellowship, families find support, neighbors become friends, and service continues in new and meaningful ways.
Whether someone comes through our doors to connect with other veterans, attend a community event, enjoy a meal, volunteer, or support a local program, they become part of the continuing story of Post 233.
Our Mission
Our mission is to honor those who served by standing with veterans and their families, promoting patriotism and responsible citizenship, supporting young people, and creating opportunities for continued service throughout the Loganville community.
We preserve the memory of those who did not return, advocate for those who did, and bring people together through fellowship, volunteer service, education, remembrance, and community participation.
Everything we do is guided by a simple responsibility: remember the fallen, support the living, and continue serving for God and Country.
What We Do, and Who It's For
Post 233 provides a trusted local place where veterans can connect with people who understand military service, families can find fellowship, and members of the public can participate in activities that support veterans and the wider community.
We serve eligible veterans, active-duty service members, military families, members of the Legion Family, young people, community volunteers, and neighbors who want to support those who served.
Our work includes veteran and family support, scholarships and youth development, patriotic observances, memorial activities, community events, public Bingo, hall rentals, Patriots’ Grill, and volunteer service.
You do not need to be a Legion member to take part in many of our public activities. When you attend an event, play Bingo, enjoy lunch at Patriots’ Grill, rent one of our spaces, volunteer, or support the Post, you help strengthen the programs and services Post 233 provides.
This is where military service and community participation meet. Some people come to reconnect. Some come to serve. Some come to remember. Everyone comes through the same doors.
Our Services
Post 233 supports veterans and families while creating meaningful ways for the entire Loganville community to connect, participate, and contribute.
Veterans and Family Support
Military service creates experiences and responsibilities that do not disappear when active duty ends. Post 233 gives veterans and their families a local community where they can find fellowship, useful connections, encouragement, and people who understand the meaning of service.
Through community support, volunteer participation, and the wider resources of The American Legion, we help veterans and their families know they are not expected to face life’s challenges alone.
Youth and Scholarship Support
Serving the next generation is part of serving the country. Post 233 supports educational opportunities, scholarships, youth development, responsible citizenship, and programs that encourage young people to lead with character.
The Post, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of The American Legion, and American Legion Riders help create opportunities that recognize achievement, strengthen leadership, and keep the values of service and citizenship alive.
Community Events and Fellowship
Post 233 brings veterans, families, and neighbors together through public Bingo, meals, dances, special gatherings, patriotic observances, and community events.
Bingo is held every Sunday and Wednesday, while Patriots’ Grill serves weekday lunch to members, families, and the public. These activities provide welcoming ways to meet people, enjoy time together, and support the work of the Post.
Participation in these activities helps fund scholarships, veterans’ assistance, youth programs, and the continued operation of Post 233.
Hall Rentals and Celebrations
Post 233 provides flexible spaces for weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, reunions, and community gatherings.
The Main Hall accommodates up to 300 guests with space for dining, entertainment, and dancing. A private meeting room is available for smaller gatherings of up to 50 guests, while the Robert Boss Pavilion offers a covered outdoor setting with lighting, ceiling fans, picnic tables, and bar facilities.
