Catholic War Veterans of Atlanta

For God. For Country. For Home.
Catholic War Veterans of Atlanta is a faith-led veteran community where service members and families connect, serve, and support one another through fellowship, remembrance, and real care.
Who We Are
Catholic War Veterans of Atlanta (Fr. Joseph M. Peek Post 1984) exists to bring veterans and families together around faith, service, and support. We honor those who served, strengthen families through community, and keep the values of duty, charity, and leadership alive through action, not just words.
Our post is more than an organization—it’s a living community where veterans find brotherhood, families discover support, and faith becomes the foundation for meaningful service. We gather regularly to pray, serve, and stand with one another in times of need.
Whether you served decades ago or recently returned home, whether you’re a family member or a supporter of our mission, you’ll find a place here where your service is honored and your presence matters.
Our Mission
We unite Catholic veterans and their families in service to God, country, and community through programs that strengthen faith, honor sacrifice, and provide real support when it’s needed most.
What We Do, and Who It's For
We serve Catholic veterans, families, and supporters who want to stay connected, grow in faith, and show up for one another. Our programs are built on the pillars that have guided our organization since its founding: faith, service, and unwavering commitment to those who’ve answered the call.
Our Services

Faith in Action
Our faith isn’t just something we talk about—it’s the foundation of everything we do. We gather for fellowship that strengthens our spiritual lives, participate in service projects that embody Catholic social teaching, and engage in community outreach that brings hope to those who need it most. Together, we live out our call to serve God by serving others.

Americanism
We honor the sacrifices made by those who served our nation with dignity and remembrance. Through civic ceremonies, educational programs, and community events, we keep alive the values of patriotism, duty, and responsible citizenship. We ensure that the next generation understands the price of freedom and the importance of serving something greater than themselves.

Youth Programs
Investing in the next generation is one of our most important responsibilities. Through mentorship, scholarship opportunities, and values-based programming, we help young people develop character, leadership, and a sense of purpose. Our youth programs connect them with role models who’ve lived lives of service and can guide them toward meaningful futures.

Veteran Welfare
When veterans and their families face challenges, we’re there with practical support, advocacy, and genuine care. From navigating benefits to providing emergency assistance, from hospital visits to simply being present in difficult times—we show up. Our veteran welfare programs ensure that no one who served is left to face hardship alone.
What Members Experience
Don’t just take our word for it—here’s what being part of Catholic War Veterans of Atlanta means to those who’ve joined our community:
“I found brotherhood again, not just another organization.”
“A place where faith and service are real.”
“Support that feels personal, not formal.”
