The Lunch Break
Taking a break isn’t a distraction.
It is a reset!
The people who step away from their desks to eat aren’t slacking off. They’re refueling.
They know that chewing a sandwich while staring at a spreadsheet doesn’t make you efficient. It makes you numb.
They know that a 15-minute walk outside isn’t wasting company time. It’s clearing the mental fog. They know that you are a human being, not a machine, and human beings need sunlight, water, and actual breaks.
We’ve all fallen into this trap. Thinking if we just push through the hunger and the headache, we’ll get ahead.
But when you actually pause, the afternoon feels completely different. The brain fog lifts. The afternoon crash disappears. You finish the day strong.
Do not eat at your workspace today. Take your food to another room, a bench, or your car. Taste your food.
Where are you eating lunch today that isn’t your desk?

Not a luxury. A discipline. So true. A real break is not laziness, it’s how you come back clearer, calmer, and more productive.
