You Cannot Use Someone Else’s Map to Find Yourself
The most dangerous career mistake is climbing fast in a direction that was never yours.
That is how many people waste years.
Not because they are lazy.
Not because they are not talented.
Not because they lack potential. But because they are following someone else’s map and calling it ambition.
You saw someone succeeding in tech, so you ran there.
You…-
@victor-o Well said Victor!
The idea of “borrowed ambition” is incredibly accurate. It’s so easy to mistake someone else’s highlight reel for our own roadmap, especially when we feel pressured to chase the latest industry trends.
Having the courage to drop that borrowed map and figure out what we are actually built for is the ultimate career advantage.- View 1 reply

Stop hiding behind zodiac signs
All of you with bad character and bad attitude who keep hiding behind zodiac signs, please come closer.
If you like, don’t pray to God.
If you like, don’t learn.
If you like, don’t work on yourself.
If you like, keep saying, “That’s how I am because I’m Cancer, Leo, Scorpio, Gemini,” and all those excuses.
My dear, what concerns moon and…

Don't be a sell out... Sell Out!
That was one of my biggest reflections after Monday night’s PMI Atlanta Chapter Dinner Meeting.
The room was sold out.
The energy was high.
The satisfaction reviews came in above 90%.
And the message from attendees was clear:𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮.
Noel Ransom Washington’s keynote, “You’re Doing the Work… So Why Aren’t You Moving?”,…

@TAGSamuel Great takeaways, thanks for sharing!
It’s a tough realization that just putting your head down and doing great work isn’t always enough to advance, but building intentional visibility changes everything.
Sounds like Noel delivered an excellent keynote for the PMI Atlanta community!
-
The realization that hard work doesn’t automatically equal visible work is exactly why so many talented professionals feel stuck. We are often taught to just put our heads down and execute, but intentional visibility and community connection are what actually drive meaningful career growth.

CCF This Friday! (May 15, 12pm ET)
Sometimes the hardest part is not having too few options.
It is having too many, and not knowing which one is actually right for you.
This Friday on Career Catalyst Friday, Kim Sanchez Skinner is leading a session called Clarity Over Options: What to do when you don’t know what to do next.
This conversation is especially helpful if you have…

Why AI-Generated Work Still Gets Ignored
AI-generated work gets ignored faster than most people realize.
Not because people hate AI.
Because they can feel when there is no human layer on it.
A lot of job seekers and content creators are now using AI to write faster, generate ideas faster, and produce more. That part is easy.
The harder part is making the work still feel like it came from…
